Heavy on the Chai INC. is a black woman-owned small business created from love, and at a time, our world is in chaos. In November of 2021, I left a healthcare practitioner career of over 20 years to move back to California after relocating to Dallas, TX, as a career decision; however, after my last two years of isolation during the COVID pandemic. Part of the push to move back to California was to provide care for my aging parents and family. During that isolation, I had time to think, dream, and promise that I would bet on myself and other women like me if I survived. I created this store built from hope!

Shipping
WE OFFER FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OVER $150! Shipping Rates: Standard Shipping: $9.99
Expected Shipping turnaround time: Standard shipping from placing an order to arriving at the customer is 5-7 days, excluding holidays, sales, and weekends.
We are NOT responsible for orders lost in the mail, incorrectly supplied addresses, or unclaimed/refused packages. You can track your parcel by creating a free account on our website or via USPS with the tracking number emailed to you.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKAGES LOST IN THE MAIL OR ANY OTHER PROBLEMS NOT FAULTED TO US! ONCE YOUR STATUS IS DELIVERED, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE.

Please Note: The time it takes to receive items includes processing + shipping transit time. For example, choosing a Next Day Shipping service does not guarantee you will receive it the day after you place your order. Therefore, it would be best if you still allowed time for the order to process.

Returns
We currently DO NOT offer refunds on any items. However, we will gladly accept an item for store credit IF APPLICABLE/ACCEPTABLE.
Store credit only within 14 days of receipt. Unfortunately, if 14 days have gone by since you received your purchase, we cannot offer you a store credit. Additionally, there are no refunds, returns, or exchanges on sale items, sunglasses, or earrings.
To be eligible for a return, you must return your item in the same unused and unworn condition in which the item was received (with tags attached - we cannot accept a return if tags have been removed)
Start your return process here: admin@heavyonthechai.com. Once the request is received, you will be given a return address to ship your item. Please note that you will be responsible for the return shipping, and your store credit will be issued less shipping cost, as the shipping cost is non-refundable.
Once we receive and review your return, we will do as much as possible to issue your store credit for the purchase amount. Your store credit will be sent/issued via the same email address used to make your purchase and valid for 180 days.

Privacy Statement
SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you purchase something from our store, we collect the personal information you give us as part of the buying and selling process, such as your name, address, and email address.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
SECTION 4 - WIX
Our store is hosted on Wix. Inc., which provides us with an online e-commerce platform to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through WIX data storage, databases, and the general WIX application. In addition, they store your information on a secure server behind a firewall.
Payment:
Suppose you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase; WIX stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure our store and its service providers' secure handling of the credit card information.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows storing WIX information about your session (referrer, landing page, and likewise).
_WIX_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider's internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
_WIX_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
cart, unique token, persistent for two weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.

storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
